Thurmond Campground Openings

The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers announced the openings of campgrounds for the 2014 recreation season at J. Strom Thurmond Lake.

Here is a list of the openings:

Petersburg Campground, Columbia County:
Campsites 1-27: open year round
Campsites 23-98: Feb. 28-Sept. 28

Ridge Road Campground, Columbia County: March 28-Sept. 28

Bussey Point Campground, Lincoln County: open year round

Big Hart Campground, McDuffie County: March 28-Sept. 28

Hawe Creek Campground, McCormick County: March 28-Sept. 28

Modoc Campground, McCormick County: March 28-Sept. 28

Winfield Campground, McCormick County: March 28-Sept. 28
