Rich was born and raised in Grovetown, GA and graduated from Greenbrier High School where he excelled in baseball (he was a 2006 State Champion and only player to be all county for 4 years). He continued his academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia where he holds 12 current baseball records and was a 2008 and 2009 All American.
His many athletic achievements led him to be drafted by the Seattle Mariners as the 51st overall pick in 2009. He was the 2010 Minor League Player of the Year and played six season of professional baseball with the Seattle Mariners/Miami Marlins/Atlanta Braves. Rich is also an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoys spending time outdoors. Rich’s and his wife, Mallory have one child named Reagan.
