Remove, Recycle, and Stage Your Home Right.

If you have your home for sale in Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, or elsewhere in the CSRA, or even if you don’t, you will likely be looking for a place to recycle your Christmas tree. If your house is for sale, the last thing you want is an old Christmas tree distracting people from the beauty of your home.

There are several options for disposing of your tree this year. If you’re living at the lake or selling lake property, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Thurmond Project Office is accepting natural Christmas trees for recycling. They’re accepting them now through January 8th. These trees will be used to attract fish. They’ll be weighted with concrete anchors and submerged in select locations to help improve the fish habitat. The Corps will also be accepting trees at Riverside Middle school in Evans, GA.

If your home is for sale in Augusta, the city of Augusta is collecting trees through January 16th with the regular curbside pick up. The City of Augusta will also be holding a tree recycling event on January 17th. This will be at the Big Lots on Peach Orchard road from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.

If your home is for sale in Evans, the Evans Home Depot will be accepting trees again this year. The trees will be turned into mulch that will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Their event will be on January 7th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Making sure your home looks its best at all times is essential to getting it sold quickly. So it’s important that you remove holiday decorations in a timely manner. This includes those decorations inside the home, as well as outside the home.
