Amanda Brewer knows about moving. Growing up, her family moved often because of her father’s career in Engineering. She was born in California, but mostly raised in Texas. With her father’s career keeping them on the move, she attended 11 different schools until coming to Augusta. After graduating from Evans High School, Amanda decided to grow roots in the Augusta area.
Amanda’s path to becoming a Realtor has given her a diverse background that makes her knowledgeable about many facets of the business and also makes her great at working with people. She worked in the makeup industry for 15 years which gave her opportunities that led to event coordinating, focusing heavily weddings. She’s also familiar with the downtown area where she could be seen for nearly 7 years slinging coffee and libations at Metro Coffeehouse. That job led her to an opportunity as a sales distributor for a national alcohol distribution company.
After her career moved to sales, she found that she preferred to work for smaller, locally owned company. She began working in property and project management with Auben Realty and decided to get her real estate license in Georgia and South Carolina. She gained knowledge in investment properties, renovations, and residential sales.
In 2017, Amanda was nominated to be a candidate for the Man and Woman of the Year fundraising campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She received the mission award and raised over $50,000 for immunotherapies.
Amanda likes to spend her free time with her husband, Brandon, their 2 dogs, June Bug and Chance, and their sweet kitten Rufus. They love to travel, spend time at the lake, and of course going to Falcon’s games! In the last couple years they have begun working on our own investment portfolio and have enjoyed finding a projects to work on together.
Amanda’s thrilled to be part of the team at DeFoor Realty and is excited to see what the future holds for her. She loves that she’s part of a company full of experienced, hard-working people. After years of moving around with family, careers focused in customer service, and opportunities to work with hundreds, if not thousands of people over time, she says, “it’s safe to say I am passionate about people!”
